Does Moon Phase Matter With Hoodoo Candle Magic?

or just wicca? I mean when doing a candle spell or something? Also can you have different set of beliefs when using candle magic not just wicca or pagan like use the Hoodoo beliefs to tell whats going on with the candle spell?? Thanks…

Some hoodoos pay attention to moon phases but others don’t. Hoodoo, being folk magic, is very versatile by its nature, and so lots of bits from other traditions work their way into it. Those who use moon phases generally choose waxing moon whenever they want to increase or cultivate something (like money, love luck) and waning moon when they want to decrease something or send it away (rivals, enemy’s fortunes.)
Myself, I put more value on planetary hours than on moon phases, but that’s just me. Some people don’t worry about timing at all and find their spells still work.
Yes, you can only perform hoodoo candle magic on half-crescent waxing moon cycles on the 13th of every month.

What’s hoodoo? I’ve heard of voodoo. Anyway, I think it does matter. You must find a professional who can guide you through these things.

I would imagine that moon phase does matter…but I am wiccan, not hoodoo practitioner. Candle magick can be used by anyone of any beleif structure as far as I am concerned. Wiccans and Hoodoo practitioners don’t hold claims to candle magick.
