I have recenlty become interested in candles that have been “fixed” with special oils for special purposes. These candles are made by a special shop. ANyway I am not using these candles for selfish gain, or to hurt others, but as another form for prayer. My question is I know that some people say you can write your prayer or what it is you desire on paper, and place it under the candle or you can burn it. Which works..?
I am using nevana candles. Which are candles in glass jars. Do you put these in water to keep the glass from breaking if the candle becomes too hot?

Neither works, because that’s just nonsense.

While i can not be sure as i do not know your religion i do know the candles tend to be a form of meditation rather than supernatural magic, so it would be personal preference in most cases.

It just depends on what feels right to you.

As for me, it really depends on what my intent is and what I am meditating about. Thanks for this question.

Some write the prayer on a paper and place under the lit candle, some inscribe a rune representing their desire on the candle and then light it. Find what works best for you.
