I have considered myself a Pagan for about 5 years now and I’ve done a few candle spells, and most of them worked great. I always write the spell down on paper as well as burn the candle and recite it. What should I do with the paper after the spell is done, I don’t really remember what I did before it’s been a while, but I know it worked before.

The record of your spell is what the Book of Shadows is for. There’s all kinds of cool stuff you can do to make your Book your own. A friend of mine got one of those photo albums with the sticky stuff and the clear slide over it and put her spells in that along with little things like leaves and pictures. Get creative. That’s what makes it so powerful.

I’m with the first answer. Either burn it to release the power of the written word into your candle magic, or save it for another use.

Usually I’m careful to put the paper over a bowl and light it off the dying candle. I always keep a copy in my book of shadows. Probably not too original, but it’s my preference.
I’ve also heard of people burying it in the earth, too.

Well you can keep a copy in your Book of Shadows. You can also burn the paper to release the energy it has picked up from you if you so desire.

You can make a bonfire and burn them at the end of each year.
