do scented candles take away the magic propertys of that candle?
these are for the belief in candle “magic”, such as rituals at temples and such.

It is a known fact that aromatic candles make enhance the properties even more. But you would do well to be made aware there is no such thing as a “magic candle.” Magic lies in the psyche of us all. But magic is as real as each of are. What makes it so balked at, is what people do with it. Remember, there is not White or Black magic. There is just magic.
In answer to your question I would have to say if you believe your candles have ‘magic’ properties then they do. If you feel more comfortable using unsented ones, use them. You create the magic properities within yourself.

Not at all; the scents can actually enhance the magic of the candle. Look up the magical properties of whatever herb it is scented from, and then you can use them in lots of rituals. The scent adds another element. The candle represents fire, but the oils making the odors can represent air.

Actually, for my spells, I usually start out with unscented candles and anoit them with specific oils for specific purposes. If anything, scented candles seem to be more ‘magic(k)al’, in my opinion.

I like the smell of them and that’s about all. I like that scented gel too. I don’t think either have any magical properties though.
