I don’t want to sound offensive (on the contrary), but I feel like what is most important in magic, spells, etc. is the actual intention, and security you have about whether it’ll work or not, but I also get stuck and confuse when I read a lot or hear others say that it is important to keep in mind the days and moon phases for certain spells.

Personally do you take these things into consideration when doing a spell. (In this case I am personally speaking about candle spell).

The way that it was put was “it is disrespectful to use one element (air) to put out another (fire)”, and said it was probably best to use a candle snuffer so as to keep respect to the candle and not weaken the magic put forth into the ritual.

So my question is this: what do you suppose i make a candle snuffer out of?

This all happened one year ago when she started buying books on how to improve your luck and “praying to some weird idol to get get rich”. She now askes to buy green candles and repeat creepy chants.
How do i tell my mom to stop because i tried before and she got very angry.
