First, find a practitioner of magic who has their stuff together. You can find these on meetup.com, at your local occult store, Yahoo groups, etc. There are lots of Wiccans out there (also Vodoun/Santeria practitioners, black magicians, ceremonials, etc.). You can tell when they’re powerful magicians because they will be prosperous, happy, healthy, have successful relationships, etc. And if they don’t, they self-evidently don’t know how to work effective spells.
If you do all the networking, and don’t find a person who meets that description, ask yourself why.

First of all, you better be studying white or protective magic! Second, you can probably contact someone you can find to help you.

Go to the New Age section of any bookstore. They should have stuff about that.
