White candles will do, but it's better if you have a specific colour for a specific purpose. You can buy colored candles at places like Walmart, ya know. Other than that, tying a ribbon around the candle will also work. You can always go outside and take a small branch or large twig from a tree to use as a wand. Wine glasses can double as chalices. Use your imagination. I've never used oil in my life, and my spells come out just fine. There are places online to learn about candle magick, as well as books.
